My father used to say that aging wasn’t for sissies. As I reach my elder years I agree. There is illness, loss, diminishment, and change. There is also wonder, appreciation and the harvesting of experience and wisdom. Mindfulness helps us face what we fear and establishes a foundation for love, balance and perspective that builds resilience and cultivates a peaceful heart. In this practice, we will support each other in community to investigate this latter stage of life through mindfulness, discussion and personal reflection. No prior meditation experience is needed.
